From Monday 28 to Wednesday 30 September 2026, the Grimaldi Forum will host a new edition of Luxe Pack Monaco, the leading international trade show dedicated to high-end packaging. Although it receives less media attention than the Monaco Grand Prix or the Monaco Yacht Show, this professional event remains a valuable indicator for anyone analysing Monaco’s real estate market: it highlights the Principality’s position within the global luxury industry ecosystem, extending far beyond its residential and tax appeal.
Founded in 1988, Luxe Pack Monaco has, over the decades, become a leading platform for launching packaging innovations designed to meet the exacting standards of luxury brands. The 2026 edition brings together several thousand professionals over three days to discover the latest creative and sustainable solutions shaping the packaging industry. In recent editions, the event has welcomed nearly 9,550 visitors, more than half of whom came from abroad, representing 90 countries, an international reach comparable to that of the Principality’s largest economic events.
The trade show is organised around several complementary thematic areas. The Portal, the epicentre of innovation, showcases practical and sustainable solutions aimed at rethinking the packaging of tomorrow. A dedicated space brings together specialist companies and start-ups committed to the sector’s transition. Finally, The Col’Lab gathers international associations and consortia, around ten in recent editions, to address the most pressing challenges facing the sustainable packaging industry. The event also presents the Formes de Luxe Awards, recognising the world’s most outstanding packaging innovations.
At first glance, a trade show dedicated to luxury packaging may seem far removed from the concerns of a property buyer or real estate investor. Yet it is one of the clearest indicators of the Principality’s economic strategy: Monaco is not relying solely on its status as a financial and residential centre. For several decades, it has methodically built a calendar of major professional events that position the territory as a key hub for the luxury, cosmetics, fragrance, fashion and jewellery industries, sectors in which packaging plays a strategic role.
This diversification of events has a direct impact on Monaco’s real estate market. Every year, the thousands of decision-makers, marketing directors and purchasing executives from the world’s leading luxury houses who converge on the Grimaldi Forum at the end of September generate a peak in demand for ultra-prime furnished rentals. At the same time, the event provides the Principality with additional exposure among an international professional clientele that may, over the medium term, consider relocating to Monaco or investing in a second residence. This phenomenon reflects a broader trend already observed around other major business events in Monaco: every international trade show hosted at the Grimaldi Forum reinforces the Principality’s economic visibility and, indirectly, the desirability of its residential property market.
“Luxe Pack illustrates a reality we observe every year: Monaco attracts not only traditional private wealth clients, but also senior executives and business leaders from the global luxury industry, who initially come for three days of meetings and, in some cases, subsequently begin considering a longer-term presence in the Principality. Monaco real estate benefits directly from this concentration of high-level professional events,” says Silvio PIRAS, Director of PIRAS Immobilier Monaco.
Luxe Pack Monaco, held from 28 to 30 September, takes place during an especially busy period for the Principality. It follows just a few days after the Monaco Yacht Show (23–26 September) and overlaps with the beginning of Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez. Within the space of two weeks, Monaco therefore hosts both a major superyacht event and a trade show dedicated to the luxury industry more broadly, reinforcing the Principality’s economic appeal over a concentrated period among complementary international audiences: yacht owners and family offices on one side, and executives and decision-makers from the luxury industry on the other. For Monaco’s real estate market, this concentration of events at the end of September creates a level of international exposure that is rarely matched during the rest of the year.
Unlike the Monaco Grand Prix or the Monaco Yacht Show, both widely covered by the economic press and luxury real estate professionals, Luxe Pack Monaco remains relatively overlooked from a residential property perspective. This lack of editorial coverage represents an opportunity for PIRAS Immobilier to demonstrate its ability to analyse Monaco’s economic ecosystem in depth, beyond the most obvious events on the calendar. This approach is fully aligned with the agency’s positioning as a market authority rather than simply a source of current affairs.
PIRAS Real Estate has been advising clients on property sales, rentals, acquisitions and management in Monaco and on the French Riviera since 1976.
